OASIS: It’s a pity when a few don’t care about the many

I find it rather sad and pathetic that when I post a blog voicing concerns for the people I am elected to represent that I then start receiving vile emails from Oasis fans that attended. I am sure it’s only a small minority but they don’t help their cause.

Yes – I resented the enforced intrusion on my life. I’m going oput in a bit to see how much rubbish has been cleared away. Aside from the noise (why should I be forced to listen to music I don’t like in my own home?), I’m concerned about the effect on Heaton Park. Walking my dog in Drinkwater Park (decided to avoid Heaton Park), all the noise could be heard loud and clear, even right over the other side of Prestwich. I drove up Bury Old Road on Saturday evening, and wasn’t pleased with all the litter, the fat blokes swilling lager in the middle of the road, and the general mess and hassle that, as a resident, I shouldn’t have to put with. I’m worried Manchester Council might want to make loud concerts a regular feature in the park. I’ll be more than willing to assist in any effort to counter this.
